Google released a major upgrade to Gemini 3 Deep Think, its specialized reasoning mode built for messy, open-ended scientific and engineering problems. The model now expands access to Ultra subscribers and select API partners.

DeepMind says the system uses a structured “Think, Act, Observe” loop that works step-by-step, checks its own reasoning, corrects errors, and halts when no valid solution is found. The upgrade builds on its gold medal performance at the 2025 International Math Olympiad and reportedly achieves state-of-the-art results across advanced math and programming benchmarks.
